Biography:

Grace Petrie is a Leicester-born folk singer-songwriter. She has been writing songs for nearly ten years but only began performing in public in 2006. Since then her distinctive brand of acoustic indie folk music has earned her critical acclaim and a solid fan base, both in the Midlands and beyond. Grace Petrie began crafting her unique style of folk-rock from the age of 13. Drawing inspiration from everyone from Dire Straits to Damien Rice, she built a repertoire of beautiful songs, undoubtedly the heart of which are her truly astounding lyrics. Combining achingly poignant themes with dry observational humour, it is easy to see why scores of fans have described her as ‘the female Billy Bragg’.
