hello all, sorry ive not been in touch sooner, its partly down to electricity- there isnt hardly any here in these parts.
Im now in Kovalam which is south, in the state of Kerela, origianlly i came here to go stay in an ahsram, i thought it was my calling, decided not to become a yogic sheep, the early starts and the chanting would of probably grated me so i chosse to find a guru and stay in parardise where theres no rules or silly oclock starts, i was also worried about the food, met many people that have practised yoga at the ashram, people said its love or hate and id be buggered if i dont like indian food!!which i dont still, ive tried their version of veg korma, but thats about it.ive turned veg, only had meat fish for 1st time yestuday.
As ive mentioned already im in PARADISE now so its all fresh fish, king prawns and lobster, yummy!!!i have really fallen on my feet here, met an english guy living like a king out here, he's a proper londoner geezer but funny as F**K, anywasy he's got part ownership in a bar and an aprtment, its expensive here cus its a package deal touristy place so he said i could have his penthouse seaview room with en suite and get this HOT water!! i got prime location, i have to keep pinching myself to see if im dreaming.... got my yoga insturctor teaching me on my balcony 2wice a day, it goes without saying im am being treated like royalty, hadda gig last night, but it was hard with the crappy kareoke mic and the hurrendous booms of the storm that had brewed allday, it was an awesome sight though, the lightening, some of the best ive ever seen, the world was putting on such a show for us!!!
Let me take you back a little bit, the last time i mailed i was in hampi, that was my favourite place as yet, i met the most beautiful souls, i found some real inner peace (shanti)
thats the place i started to sleep again without nightmeres, for the first week i was traumartised even as i slept...you can see from my pics on myspace how truely breathtaking the ancient city was.
My next stop after was Om beach, some of you may remember me mentioning this beach, well it was everything i dreamt of and more, id got the overnight bus with german dude who was now really bugging me with his crappy humour and soul-less conversation, bit harsh i know but this is my journey and he'd kinda jumped on my band wagon, was glad at the time though because the bus stopped at 3 in the AM and dropped us off 40km from where we neede to be......at that point i was glad of not being alone, i was laffing all the way at the way people get so irrate but the indians dont care man, they've got a business going on with the rickshaw drivers so their happy. got a room in the gokarna town which was a quaint family run place, they even did my laundry inclusive of my room rate and brought me chai in the morning, bless, i stayed there 2 nights then headed to om beach, i took the first room i seen even though it was something resembling a prison cell, i'll post pictures, i didnt care it was cheap and id decided i didnt need anything fancy this was going to be my week of living like a monk.
Which was blissful, i did a 12 hour silence and had the most calming beautiful enlighteneing time just little old me and my mind, id decided to do it at first cus german bloke wouldnt leave me alone, if i went to a different beach on a boat he'd find me, i went walking, trekking through the jungle, hills he'd bloody pop up, it was reallly niggling with me so i did it originally to get his voice out my head, i guess i shouldve thanked him for that, (by the way he got the message and he moved out of the prison cells to another place, i could see he felt really bad saying maybe its best we travel alone, but i was like, phew!!)
I do yoga and meditaion everyday and have had reiki and have met a new soul in my head, im not sure who he is, sometimes i think its my dad, othere times my inner god, im not going mad here dont worry im just getting intune with my self!!! it makes me a happier, enlightened, thoughtful soul.
So then the journey continued, i took 16hour sleeper train to trivandrum, which was an amzing train ride, totally breathtaking, the train was pretty empty so i pretty much had a carriage to my self which was a right bonus, i booked in to a hut in the back waters the first night intending to go to the ashram the next day, had a few drinks with english tourists went home to find i had a RAT on my bed man, i freaked me out so i packed up and f**ked off right outta there, booked my self into a posh hotel room that cost me 20 squid but it was worth ever god damn penny, i dont mind ruffing it but RAT on ya bed man not very Shanti man!!!
I've been having drumming lessons and played with a man on the flute and a tempura box, makes sounds like sitar,i want one!!! the music is alive and shinny here, the classical is trancelike, many travllers play guitar but very few have brought one and ive met non promoting their own songs, my indian sunflower tour is my greatest idea yet , almost out of cds and still got 5 weeks left!!!
Anyways ive gotta go now im off to an elephant santctury,
oh yeah did i mention i was in paradise and its 34'today.
peace and much love to ya all miss you all wish you were here
